Whats the Point?
Why do we do what we do? I think about that all the time. I see people on my runs, at the grocery store, at the beach, basically everywhere I go. I somehow always come back to the same thought. Why are these people doing this? Of course there are some obvious answers here. You see someone at the grocery store, they probably need groceries. You see someone going on a run, they probably enjoy running, or their trying to make a physical change in their life. On the other hand, some aren’t so obvious.
You could see someone at the beach at nighttime. No sun, no phone, just them and their thoughts. Maybe they’re practicing healthy habits like ditching the phone. Maybe they’ve had a long day and need to clear their head. Or maybe its their favorite thing to do on their free time, just the sound of the waves and calmness.
You never really know why someone is doing what they’re doing. But the point I’m making is don’t judge yourself when you don’t know what you're doing. Not a lot of people have it “figured out” when it comes to the game of life. Everyday I think to myself what I’m doing and what my purpose is. It’s good to have goals and milestones in your life you want to achieve. But when you don’t reach them theres no need to panic. Reflect and recover and get back at it when you're ready.
Having it figured out really isn’t a thing. Maybe some people have more direction than others, but we face new challenges everyday, and we can't predict the future. Advice for the day, take it one breath at a time and enjoy the moments you do have, because you can't get those back.
