Living With the Highs and the Lows
Living in the highs and lows…
Some days I feel like I’m on the top of the world. Others, not so much. Ups and downs are a large part of my everyday life. But from what I’ve learn here’s my most important rules when it comes to living a stress-free life
- The highs only last for so long. When your riding that wave, enjoy it and don’t look back on what you could have done differently. Your highs shouldn’t be compared to anybody else’s because at the end of the day its your life.
- Think of the highs as mountain tops. When you reach the top of the mountain the only way to get off is to climb down. When you feel like you're coming down, accept it and keep moving forward. More highs are on the way.
- When you notice your in the lows, embrace it. Your character is built in the lows, and celebrated in the highs.
- It’s easy to get lost in the lows. You feel bored, redundant, maybe you feel stuck. When you're in the lows and you have intentions to get out, you’ll find the purpose of the lows you're in and use them to build back up into the highs.
It took me awhile to learn that you can’t always live in the highs. If I can pass anything on to you, I would tell you enjoy both. The highs and the lows are for building purpose and character. But if you ignore the position you’re in, I think its difficult to grow and learn as a human and maximize the current state your in.
Enjoy your highs
Enjoy your lows
Grow in both
